Will clearance alerts save you more than $44 a month?

What the offer includes

The seller describes clearance finds at Walmart, Target, Home Depot and Lowe’s. Its Whop listing currently advertises a seven-day trial followed by a $44 monthly subscription. Check the checkout for the current price, renewal date and any taxes before starting.

The cost check

Count the difference from the price you would otherwise pay, not a crossed-out list price. Then subtract extra travel costs and the subscription fee. An item you bought only because it was discounted may be extra spending rather than a saving.

These examples exclude the value of your time and any subscription taxes. Resellers also need to subtract selling fees, shipping, returns and unsold inventory; a discount is not a profit.

Who should consider it?

Someone already visiting several of those US retailers, with specific planned purchases and time to check stock, has a clearer way to evaluate the service. Someone with few nearby stores, little shopping to do or no room for another recurring bill should start with free options.

First check retailers’ own clearance sections, weekly offers and store apps. Keep a short shopping list and record what you actually pay. That gives you a baseline to compare with a paid alert service.
